JJL Archive

JJL Archive is a growing collection of handmade objects.I’ve always collected things, and I’ve always made things. JJL Archive became a place where those two parts of my practice could exist together.I chose the word Archive because I wanted the freedom to follow ideas wherever they led. It holds collections, one-off objects, experiments and pieces that may change over time. Some things stay, while others become part of the archive and make way for something new.Everything I make is one of a kind. I’m drawn to found and second-hand materials because they already have a history, and I enjoy imagining what they were before and what they might become next.More than anything, I hope the things I make bring a little curiosity, joy or wonder into someone’s everyday life.

Collection of images gathered from trips, found beads and sketches as inspiration for Collected by the Tide.

Collected by the Tide

Collected by the Tide began with the idea that every tide leaves something worth finding.Inspired by coastlines, old maritime objects and the feeling of recognising something that seems to have been waiting for you, the collection brings together one-of-a-kind handmade pieces made from found, second-hand and carefully chosen materials. No two are exactly alike, and each carries its own story.

Archive Objects

Not everything I make belongs to a collection. Archive Objects is where you’ll find one-of-a-kind handmade pieces that exist on their own, each with its own story and place within the archive.
